My step-grandfather, O.D. Hamlin, the “Judge”, started his law career in the Alameda County DA’s office He was eventually appointed by Ike to the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. When he left the DA’s office to go into private practice he was replaced by Earl Warren, a lifelong friend.
The Judge called my dad and invited him to his home in Lafayette- “Sky Hy Ranch”, for cocktails. He had company and this picture was taken in the Judge’s study with my dad and Earl Warren.
